I have a DMP XR 150 with cell and internet for communicating to the monitoring center. My system is set up with door contacts on all the doors, window contacts or alarm screens with contacts for all my windows, motion detectors in the halls, smoke detectors throughout the house, heat detectors in the garage and laundry room and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the house. All of these devices are monitored. I also have a door locks, cameras and lights connected to my alarm system. I have an app for my system which allows me to remotely turn it on or off, unlock and lock doors and turn on and off lights. I also have it set up for certain events to occur when I turn the system on or off or when it goes into alarm. For instance, when I turn my alarm off, certain lights are programmed to turn on. When I arm the system, it will check to make sure the doors are locked and if they are not, it will lock the doors.
I can view my cameras remotely. I have the system set up to notify me on all alarm events. For instance, when someone turns my security system on or off, I get a notification with who disarmed it, this lets me know what time the nanny and kids are home and how long the cleaning person is there.
