One of a Dozen or So DMP Products Introduced at ISC West

Visitors to the DMP booth #23035 at ISC West, April 15-17, can get a first look at a wide variety of soon-to-released as well as already introduced DMP technology. That includes Geofencing, technology that allows users to integrate Z-Wave® automation based on location services (GPS) on their cell phone. When the alarm system recognizes a fence has been exited or entered, it triggers Favorites™ to activate lights, locks, thermostats or garage doors.

“DMP continues to offer new features that provide a bigger payback on end users’ alarm system investment,” said Mark NeSmith, VP of Sales. “Geofencing provides yet another way that they can take advantage of their system’s automation triggers, and delivers those features via cell phone. Geofencing via the Virtual Keypad App enables DMP authorized dealers to offer their customers the latest in home security technology.”

By having a geofence programmed on their phone, your customer can receive a Smart Arming Reminder if they are the last one to leave the premises. These features offer both residential and commercial accounts enhanced security, reduced energy costs, and additional convenience. Only DMP offers the ability to create and control geofencing directly from a cell phone in the App. Users can create a geofence directly on their smart phone. Once created, they can link it to one of their Favorites, which are user-defined sets of automation features. Multiple geofences can be created to activate more than one Favorite, or to activate Favorites when they enter or exit certain geo-locations.

Other new products showcased in this year’s booth include new features end-users, new tools for dealers, more wireless devices and a focus on panel and video communications.
